Call of Duty: Online -- Various Maps

This is a collection of other screens from maps I worked on for Call of Duty Online. This was a project created for free download exclusive to China, supported by microtransaction based add-ons for players. In all, I worked on 17 maps for that project. Most were repurposed multiplayer, some were single-player modified into other games modes. Most of the ones I worked on were reworked maps from Modern Warfare-era maps, some from later, and still a few others were original and exclusive to COD Online. When repurposing a map from an older version, we made creative changes to the art where desired, sometimes re-themed them entirely, and added visual fidelity to the extent allowed by the tech limits of our target market. It was a lot of fun for me to work on maps I had extensively played on before becoming a developer.

Summit: This is a multiplayer map re-created from Black Ops. I recreated the end section of the map and themed it as a security checkpoint/entrance. I was resonsible for geo, terrain, and texturing in this area. Pat Williams created the buildings.

Summit: I recreated the vista of this map from its original version in Black Ops. I made the snow patterns and textures on the near-vista terrain, geo for the fuel pod, and set up the mountains and atmosphere. Jeff Degenhardt created the mountains.

Farm: An expansion of a C-130 mission in Modern Warfare. I was responsible for terrain and set dress in this area. Making a straight road interesting and non-repetitive was one of my challenges.

This gas station was rebuilt from a version originally appearing in Modern Warfare 3. I re-styled some of the design and added glass window tops which players to easily shoot through it in the Chopper Gunship game mode.

I created these illustrations to appear in the remake of Modern Warfare 2's DLC Carnival map. The theme for this year was the Monkey King. I drew these and pen and ink and colored in vector in Adobe Illustrator.
