Book Covers

These are book covers I created while working for American Technical Publishers between 2005 and 2014.
Their website can be found at http://www.atplearning.com/
They were created primarily in Photoshop, augmented with Illustrator and some 3D models in a few cases. They were made in consultation with technical editors and authors who are the subject matter experts on the material shown.

I created the circuit board in 3D using SketchUp and Thea Render. The title and overall design were created in Photoshop, with final text in Illustrator.

A draft version of the previous cover. I created the axial piston pump cutaway in 3D, rendered in Thea Render, and composited in Photoshop. The backdrop and title were also created n Photoshop, with final text in Illustrator.

Covers from the first and second editions of Motors. These motor cutaways were hand drawn first and then recreated isometrically in Illustrator. At the time, I was just starting to learn 3D and these specific images were the inspiration to learn it.
